APHON Chemotherapy and Biotherapy Provider Course is organized by Cook Children's Health Care System (CCHCS) and will be held from Aug 05 - 06, 2026.

Description:
This two-day course includes a comprehensive curriculum designed to provide nurses with the knowledge base needed to safely care for children and adolescents receiving chemotherapy. Participants must provide their RN license number.

Objectives:

• Identify principles of chemotherapy and biotherapy
• Recognize toxicities of common chemotherapy and biotherapy agents and nursing interventions to manage symptoms
• Outline steps required to safely administer chemotherapy agents to children and adolescents
• Describe late effects of cancer treatment
