Hosted by leading experts, the BritSPAG training day will give an overview of how to assess a child or adolescent, common gynaecological conditions affecting young girls, and examines the issue of communication and support for children and young adults.
This two-day conference provides insight into advances in paediatric and adolescent gynaecology (PAG). Updates include management of those with underlying bleeding disorders, fertility preservation, genomics in adolescents, STI updates and treatment advances, and the Fertility Education Initiative in young people.
This course is suitable for the theoretical component of the Paediatric and Adolescent Gynaecology ATSM.
Learning objectives:
• Improve knowledge of basic conditions presenting to a paediatric and adolescent gynaecology clinic
• Insight into more complex conditions such as fertility preservation and disorders of sex development (DSD)
• Explore sexual issues for adolescents including contraception, dyspareunia and vaginal dilation
• Enhance knowledge of PCOS, including the nutritional needs and treatment of acne
