CLP 2021: The Annual Meeting of the Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry is organized by Academy of Consultation-Liaison Psychiatry (ACLP) and will be held from Nov 10 - 12, 2021.

Theme:
The meeting theme this year is Advancing Knowledge, Developing Careers, Strengthening Community, at once a complex and broad theme, reflecting that ACLP is more than an academic organization—it is an academic home.

Description:
This year's meeting will be an opportunity to further expand knowledge of the evidence base for our practice while supporting growth and mentorship of careers. It will also be an opportunity for reflection on diversity, equity, and justice, and to celebrate the people who create and engage in this amazing academic organization. A truly spectacular program has been developed on these thematic topics.

Highlights:
Some of the highlights of this year's meeting:
• No price change from 2020 AND every registrant will receive a discount of up to $100 off of CLP 2022 registration (terms and conditions apply)
• Once again the Updates in C-L Psychiatry course, featuring ten speakers discussing updates on current C-L topics, is free to members who have registered for the annual meeting. Fundamentals of C-L Psychiatry: A Primer and a package of 7 Skills Courses are available for an additional cost.
• Six live plenary sessions on topics such as Leading with Purpose, Race & Racism in Academic Medicine, and Physician Suicide, presented by leaders in education, research, advocacy and clinical work in psychiatry and medicine.
• 190+ scientific posters; 50 oral papers; and over 40 workshops. Session recordings will be released in advance, with a significant number of live Q&As with faculty will augment the learning experience. All content will be available through December 2022.
• 20+ AMA PRA Category 1 Credits for physicians and nurses for live plenary streams. Over 100 hours AMA PRA Category 1 Credits for designated enduring material. CME claims valid through May 2022. 8 hours of MOC SA credit based on our meeting MOC test.

Optional Courses:
CLP 2021 offers three opportunities for additional educational content and CME hours.?All optional sessions are presented on-demand and are not live-streamed; there is an additional fee for each optional item. 
Updates in C-L Psychiatry is a popular, half-day review course featuring multiple experts in the field. Presenters address core topics such as neuropsychiatry, psycho-oncology, and pediatric C-L psychiatry, which can serve as preparation for ABPN certification or re-certification exams. This course is free to current Academy members who register for the annual meeting. 
Fundamentals of C-L Psychiatry: A Primer.?Given the shortage of fellowship trained and board certified C-L psychiatrists and the increasing demand for integration across the spectrum of care, an increasing number of general practitioners (including psychiatrists and nurse practitioners) are being asked to provide psychiatric care in medical settings. This course, moderated by Jason Caplan, will serve as a primer in C-L Psychiatry providing a basis on which attendees can capitalize on the specialized presentations across the rest of the conference. 
• The?Skills Course Package?bundles?seven deep-dive sessions?on current C-L Psychiatry issues (does not include the two sessions above) for a single fee

Learning Objectives:
At the end of this meeting, participants will be able to: 
• Apply findings from outcomes research to clinical care scenarios involving persons with comorbid psychiatric and medical conditions. 
• Identify ethical imperatives in treating individuals with comorbid medical and psychiatric illness. 
• Relate various means to improve medical outcomes of patients experiencing chronic and persistent mental illness. 
• Appraise various models of mental health care integration into primary and specialty care settings.
