A Review To Renew: Meeting the Connecticut State Mandates for License Renewal is organized by Hartford HealthCare (HHC) and will be held on Dec 06, 2025.

Overview:
This day-long ZOOM session will cover CT mandated CME topics for physician and APRN license renewal.  These topics are specific to Connecticut's public health needs as determined by the Department of Public Health.  All medical professionals are welcome to attend.  Education is presented by subject matter experts from across Hartford HealthCare and our community partners.

All presented CME topics (plus Risk Management which is provided by HHC each year) are required by the DPH every 6 years for physicians and every 2 years for APRNs, with some of the topics also required by psychologists, PAs, social workers, and nurses. 

Objectives:
As a result of participating in this activity, learners should be able to:

  • review current best practice recommendations in a variety of topics determined by the CT Department of Public Health for physician and APRN license renewal

  • ABIM MOC: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the participant to earn up to 8.00 Medical Knowledge credits in the American Board of Internal Medicine's (ABIM) Maintenance of Certification (MOC) program.  Participants will earn MOC points equivalent to the amount of CME credits claimed for the activity.  It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit participant completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABIM MOC credit.
  • ABS Continuous Certification: Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider's responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.

Social Workers:  
As a Jointly Accredited Organization, Hartford HealthCare is approved to offer social work continuing education by the Association of Social Work Boards (ASWB) Approved Continuing Education (ACE) program.  Organizations, not individual courses, are approved under this program.  Regulatory boards are the final authority on courses accepted for continuing education credit.  Social workers completing this course receive 7.00 general and 1.00 cultural competence continuing education credits.

Nurse:  This activity counts for 8.00 ANCC hours.

All Other Learners: All other learners  will receive a Certificate of Participation for this activity.  Consult your professional licensing board for information on the applicability and acceptance of certificates of participation for educational activities certified for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit™.
