7th Annual Cancer Health Disparities Symposium 2022 is organized by SUNY Downstate Medical Center.

Target Audience :
This educational activity is designed to improve the knowledge and competence of Physicians and Surgeons, Scientists, Nurses, Trainees and Students as well as Community members.

Description :
This program is designed to address the important topic of cancer health disparities that has warranted increased attention in recent years. The program will be highlighting the advances in cancer health disparities research in order to deliver beneficial messages to the intended audience. Furthermore, increasing cancer screening rates is one of the most effective methods to impact cancer incidence and deaths.

Program Objectives :
Upon completion of this activity, participants should be able to:
• Interpret the current research infrastructure supporting cancer health disparities research
• Distinguish the recent advances made in cancer health disparities research
• Recognize the state of cancer screening in minority populations
• List tactics to improve participation of minority populations in cancer research studies
