OVERVIEW

35+ Years of Clinical Success: Mastering Lumbar, Hip, and Buttock Pain with Confidence is organized by Lotus Institute of Integrative Medicine and will be held on Nov 13, 2026.

Course Description:
Low back, hip, and buttock pain are among the most common complaints in clinical practice, yet successful case management requires more than simply addressing symptoms. Drawing from over 35 years of clinical experience, this course teaches practitioners how to guide patients from pain toward true healing and lasting health.

Participants will learn how to conduct a **comprehensive intake and physical exam**, apply differential diagnosis to rule conditions in or out, and develop effective treatment strategies. The course also covers patient education, realistic healing timelines, appropriate use of labs and imaging, and the importance of knowing when to refer out. By integrating anatomy, physiology, and pathology into case presentations, practitioners will gain the tools to build patient trust while improving treatment outcomes.

Upon completion of this course, practitioners will:

  • Conduct a thorough intake and physical exam for patients presenting with lumbar, hip, and buttock pain.
  • Apply differential diagnosis to rule in or out potential causes and guide clinical decision-making.
  • Formulate treatment strategies and educate patients about realistic healing expectations.
  • Integrate case presentations, anatomy, physiology, and pathology into clinical practice to improve outcomes and patient trust.
