OVERVIEW

Society for Clinical & Experimental Hypnosis (SCEH) 77th Annual Workshops & Scientific Program is organized by Society for Clinical and Experimental Hypnosis (SCEH) and will be held from Oct 14 - 18, 2026.

Conference Theme:
Circuits of Consciousness: Hypnosis, AI, and Psychedelic-Assisted Change

This year's program explores the dynamic intersections between hypnosis, emerging technologies, and transformative mind–body therapies. We invite submissions that examine hypnosis within non-ordinary states, psychedelic-assisted treatment, or investigate innovative digital tools including AI-enhanced education, apps, and telehealth platforms. We also welcome work that advances clinical applications in trauma, pain management, medical and dental care, palliative care, and child and adolescent practice. Submissions highlighting interdisciplinary collaboration, ethical considerations in virtual practice, or the integration of hypnosis with other therapeutic modalities are strongly encouraged. Explore new avenues that enable us to rewire circuits-- of both human and machine-- to shape the future of consciousness and clinical innovation in healthcare.

Description:
The SCEH Annual Conference continues the Society's proud tradition of evidence-based professional development and educational sessions on clinical hypnosis. The Annual Conference provides attendees the opportunity to explore new topics, learn best practices and tools, gain continuing education credits and engage in vibrant debate with instructors and colleagues. The five-day event includes both a workshops component and a scientific program, and provides CE and CME for certification, credentialing and professional development. The Workshops feature clinical hypnosis training at introductory, intermediate and advanced levels. Workshops meet accepted Standards of Training in Clinical Hypnosis and count toward SCEH Hypnosis Certification. The Scientific Program features keynotes, research presentations and symposia that address empirical issues in hypnosis research and practice and related areas. Sessions often integrate research and practice in psychology, psychiatry, medicine and neuroscience to highlight issues that improve understanding of hypnosis. A Poster Session at the Scientific Program provides another glimpse into the latest scientific research in the field. Agenda is subject to change. Advance registration is required. Register early for the best rates.
