2021 Physical Medicine and Rehabilitation Conference: Creativity and Collaboration in Changing Times is organized by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and will be held on Oct 02, 2021.

Overview:
This course will focus on the latest research and clinical advances impacting the acute management and rehabilitation of patients using Telehealth, managing the recovery needs of the post-ICU survivor in light of the recent pandemic; and a discussion on a program designed to meet the needs of the orthopedic population as healthcare moves into episodic bundling of services for this population. Practical applications and evidence surrounding interventions will be discussed. A panel discussion will be included to incorporate the need for communication and collaboration, as well as interdisciplinary teamwork in provision of rehabilitation services. As always, the patient perspective will be an important element of the program.

Objectives:
• Discuss the role of telehelath in the provision of stroke rehabilitation
• Demonstrate logistics and components of a post-ICU rehabilitation clinic to address patient needs in their recovery
• Identify factors to consider in the establishment of an orthopedic rehabilitation program that addresses the demands of the bundling initiative
• Describe the collaborative role of rehabilitation team members to produce effective strategies in meeting the demands of these three topics/issues
