Description:
This continuing medical education activity will address new medications and technology utilized in electrophysiology, heart failure and structural heart disease. Since these disease states often overlap, physicians and others on the healthcare team need to know what medications and devices are being used and how they will impact their patients' health.
Objectives:
At the conclusion of this continuing medical education activity participants should be able to:
• Describe current hypertension management strategies;
• Recognize appropriate identification strategies when differentiating pulmonary vs heart failure problems with your patient;
• Identify and integrate current lipid guidelines into practice;
• Compare testing modalities and results to determine best test per patient;
• Evaluate the role of antiarrhythmic medication follow up standards with your patients;
• Discuss the impact of vaping on your patient population;
• Describe current device treatment options for arrhythmia patients;
• Recognize advancements in interventional cardiology and preventive medicine.
