Techniques to Expand Patient Selection for MRI-Guided High-Intensity Focused Ultrasound Ablation of Uterine Fibroids is organized by American Roentgen Ray Society (ARRS) and will be held during Jan 23, 2014 - Jan 22, 2020.

The target audience for this medical event is readers of the AJR, radiologists, radiologists-in-training and other health professionals with an interest in MRI-guided high-intensity focused ultrasound (HIFU) ablation for treatment of symptomatic uterine fibroids. This CME Conference has been approved for a maximum of 1.00 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits.

Conference Objective :
• The indications and limiting factors of performing MRI-guided HIFU ablation for symptomatic uterine fibroids;
• Recognize the technical opportunities to reduce the limiting factors so more appropriate patients can be treated;
• Describe techniques to expand the patient selection and improve therapeutic outcomes, including manipulating bowel loops, dealing with abdominal scars, alleviating fibroid size limitations, and overcoming excessive lesion vascularity.
