The target audience for this medical event for all clinical cardiac electrophysiologists who take care of patients with cardiac arrhythmias. In addition, students, residents, researchers, all cardiologists and other medical professional who prescribe drugs to patients will find this activity beneficial.This CME Conference has been approved with a maximum of 1 AMA PRA Category 1 Credit.
Course Description:
Cardiac arrest may result from seemingly innocuous medications that do not necessarily have cardiac indications. The best-known example is the drug-induced long QT syndrome. A less known, but not necessarily less important form of drug-induced proarrhythmia is the drug-induced Brugada-syndrome. We aimed to identify clinical and electrocardiographic risk markers for drug-induced Brugada syndrome.
