Description:
The purpose of this activity is to present outcomes of the implementation of the Amputation Improved Recovery (AIR) Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) protocol. Providers will have the opportunity to evaluate and implement new therapies into practice, in order to benefit the growing number of surgical amputation patients worldwide.

Learning Outcomes:
• Describe nonpatient controlled risk factors that increase the likelihood that patients will develop Phantom Limb Pain (PLP).
• List patientspecific risk factors that increase the likelihood that patients will develop PLP.
• Explain the implications PLP has on an amputation patients recovery and rehabilitation process.
• Outline different anesthetic modalities shown to effectively mitigate the development of PLP.
• Discuss potential benefits of a multimodal evidencebased anesthesia protocol
