OVERVIEW

Psychiatric & Healthcare law Course is organized by Evidence Based Sweden AB, Physicians' Institute for Professional Development in Healthcare / Lakarnas institut for professionell utveckling i sjukvarden (LIPUS) and will be held from Jan 21 - 23, 2026 at Elite Hotel Marina Plaza, Helsingborg, Helsingborg, Scania, Sweden.

Description:
The course has been developed to meet the National Board of Health and Welfare's interim goals regarding healthcare and psychiatric law for various BT & ST educations and to meet the need for further training in the subject for specialists.
Doctors in general and ST doctors in psychiatry in particular must have a good knowledge of the medical law field and be able to apply the rules correctly. The purpose of the legislation is primarily to protect patient safety.
Within the framework of coercive measures (LPT/LRV), there are knowledge gaps that are addressed during the course.
There are also major knowledge gaps about various areas, such as children who are in harm's way, weapons and driver's license possession.
The participant will be updated on important news and changes, such as:
Police handling LPT-LRV-LVM: handling between healthcare facilities after admission.

Overall goals:
The training will help future specialists gain an overall picture of the regulations that govern healthcare as well as compulsory care legislation and its clinical application in everyday work.
