OVERVIEW

5th Annual Philadelphia Cardiovascular Congress is organized by Thomas Jefferson University (TJU) Office of Continuing Professional Development (OCPD) and will be held from Oct 23 - 24, 2026 at Philadelphia Marriott Downtown, Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, United States of America.

Overview:
This annual two-day Congress will introduce the newest developments in cardiology, cardiothoracic surgery and vascular surgery. Rich and stimulating presentations will be delivered by experts in the fields of cardiology, cardiac surgery, and vascular surgery.

Cardiovascular care can be a complex issue and patient problems are diverse, necessitating a team approach involving different disciplines with differing expertise and skills. A separate breakout session for advanced practice providers will provide topics to support a team approach to patient care.

Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, healthcare team members will be able to:

Discuss current treatment guidelines for thoracic aortic aneurysm.
Evaluate current techniques and outcomes for aortic valve sparing surgery.
Discuss indications, outcomes, and complications of frozen elephant trunk.
Explore endovascular approaches to aortic arch repair.
Discuss TAMBE experience and outcomes.
Discuss the role for open thoracoabdominal aortic aneurysm repair.
Explore the physiologic assessment of CAD: FFR, IFR, and beyond.
Evaluate the indications and outcomes for CABG in 2025.
Discuss the role of heart team decision making for CABG versus PCI versus medical therapy for multivessel coronary artery disease.
Explore coronary revascularization options including robotic versus mid CAB versus LIMA to LAD versus PCI.
Discuss potential treatment options for severe aortic stenosis based on who is best suited for TAVR vs. SAVR.
Interpret cardiac imaging studies in the management of coronary artery disease.
Examine the timing and options for treating mitral regurgitation and mitral stenosis.
Evaluate ACC/AHA guidelines principles for AS/AVR.
Evaluate the pitfalls of echocardiography in mixed AS/AR.
Explore treatment options for failed MitraClip.
Describe the current management of severe mitral stenosis with pulmonary artery hypertension.
Discuss the diagnostic and management challenges associated with aortic regurgitation.
Summarize treatment options for asymptomatic severe aortic stenosis, medical therapy versus early intervention.
Evaluate transcatheter approaches to tricuspid valve disease.

CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

Cancellation Policy
Requests for refunds must be submitted in writing and received in the Office of CPD two weeks prior to the start date of the course. There will be no refunds after this period.* Cancellations notified before the two week time frame will incur a 25% administration fee (with a minimum of $20). Registrants who fail to attend the conference are responsible for the entire fee. All refunds will be processed after the conference. The University reserves the right to cancel or postpone this course due to unforeseen circumstances. In the event of cancellation or postponement, the University will refund registration fees, but is not responsible for related costs or expenses to participants, including cancellation fees assessed by hotels, airlines or travel agencies. Registration fees will be refunded less a 15% administration fee to international conference registrants who are unable to secure a travel visa.
