Course Description:
This course will blend didactic lectures with the latest information on diagnosing and managing high-risk obstetrics patients. Drawing from new data of clinical trials and evidence-based updates, this program aims to equip all obstetrics care team members with essential and up-to-date knowledge. The presentations will offer practical insights on critical topics, such as comprehensive approaches to managing Rh D alloimmunization during pregnancy, the effects of abortion legislation on mortality rates among reproductive-aged females, and techniques for screening and treating gestational and pregestational diabetes, as well as intraamniotic infections. Other topics include the significance of safe physical activity during pregnancy and postpartum, inclusive prenatal care for refugee and gender-diverse individuals, optimized labor management to minimize unnecessary cesarean deliveries, screening and management of RSV in pregnant patients and newborns, and best practices for managing hypertension and mental health during pregnancy. Q&A sessions will provide an opportunity for audience interaction with the faculty members to address questions and concerns related to optimal patient care.
