Description:
This course is designed to help surgeons improve their skills in head and neck reconstruction surgery following ablative resection for benign and malignant diseases. Led by experienced surgeons, it includes both educational sessions and practical workshops focusing on various skin flap procedures, such as muscle, facial, bone, and perforator-based flaps.
Participants will have the opportunity to learn from skilled faculty members through hands-on laboratory exercises, exploring common local/regional and free flap options for head and neck defect reconstruction. The course also covers advanced techniques, best practices for achieving optimal functional and aesthetic outcomes, and addressing common complications. Additionally, discussions will include new and less conventional flap procedures like Pedicle and Microsurgical flaps, providing participants with a comprehensive learning experience.
