Theme: Midlife Women’s Health in the Era of Precision Medicine

Learning Objectives:
By participating in this activity, attendees should be able to
• Understand the role of precision oncology in midlife women’s health and the new strategies for screening and detection.
• Recognize the challenges in providing accurate information to women in a world of misinformation.
• Evaluate the role of Selective Estrogen-Receptor Modulators and the Tissue-Selective Estrogen Complex as potential treatment options at menopause.
• Assess menopause management options, including how to manage women with complex medical conditions.
• Review the management of hypertension, obesity, and the reproductive risk factors for cardiovascular disease in women.
• Consider the role of ovarian hormones on cognitive health.
• Understand the 2023 Nonhormone Therapy Position Statement of The North American Menopause Society and how to translate these guidelines to practice.
• Explore skin changes with age and rheumatologic issues at midlife.
• Analyze breast cancer risk estimation and modeling and exogenous hormones in the high-risk patient.
• Appreciate the intersectionality in women’s experiences of midlife healthcare.
• Evaluate sexual health issues at midlife, including orgasmic dysfunction, vulvodynia, and pelvic floor issues.
• Become familiar with what we have recently learned about dementia and Alzheimer disease.
