Introduction to Abdominal/Primary Care and Ob/GYN Ultrasound is organized by Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute (GCUS) Inc. and will be held from Oct 16 - 20, 2023 at Gulfcoast Ultrasound Institute, St. Petersburg, Florida, United States of America.

Overview:
Introduction to Primary Care Abdominal and OB/GYN Ultrasound Live Training Course is taught by leading abdominal and primary care ultrasound experts and covers liver, Gallbladder/biliary tree, renal/bladder, pancreas, spleen, abdominal aorta, GI tract, trauma, thyroid, scrotal, soft tissue/MSK applications, transabdominal and endovaginal GYN scan techniques, and OB applications. Extensive hands-on scanning workshops are included the industry's lowest 3:1 participant-to-faculty hands-on scan ratio. The Primary Care Abdominal and OB/GYN ultrasound course includes comprehensive lectures, interactive case presentations, and extensive hands-on skills training.

Objectives :
•Increase participant’s knowledge to better perform and/or interpret abdominal and OB/GYN ultrasound examinations.
• Increase confidence to incorporate protocols, scan techniques & interpretation criteria to improve diagnostic/treatment accuracy.
• Demonstrate proper transducer manipulation and system optimization to produce diagnostic images.
• Cite Doppler/color physics principles and be able to (sonographers) apply these principles to optimize system controls or (physicians) utilize this information for identifying technical errors which may result in misdiagnosis (optional lecture).
• Perform scan protocols and routine measurements that are utilized during abdominal and transabdominal/endovaginal gynecological and 1st, 2nd, and 3rd trimester obstetrical ultrasound evaluations.
• Identify normal/abnormal imaging characteristics of the liver, gallbladder, pancreas, spleen, kidneys, abdominal vasculature, thyroid, testes/scrotum, appendix, ovaries and uterus and differentiate commonly seen pathology.
• Demonstrate the use of ultrasound for evaluation of the trauma patient (FAST exam) and soft-tissue pathology.
• List the indications and ultrasound findings for suspicion of an ectopic pregnancy.
• Identify normal fetal anatomy and perform biophysical profile.
• Apply appropriate measurement techniques to assess fetal dates and appropriate fetal development.
• Recognize commonly seen fetal abnormalities and their corresponding ultrasound imaging characteristics.
