Breast and Chest Imaging at the Beach is organized by Penn Medicine - Department of Radiology and will be held from Jan 08 - 13, 2023 at Four Seasons Resort Costa Rica at Peninsula Papagayo, Papagayo Peninsula, Guanacaste, Costa Rica.

Alongside studying the fundamentals of breast imaging to help improve the interpretation of breast images, The content for breasts will also include the most recent medical techniques and technologies for MRI, DBT, screening, and breast ultrasound.
The second segment of the course will focus on the most common diseases encountered in non-cardiac and chest cardio radiology. Docents will concentrate on the practical and systematic approach to difficult cases rather than granular information related to the disease. In these two days, participants will be able to use these methods through daily instructor-led, curated, and interactive case discussions.

Breast Lectures:
• Examine methods for optimizing mammographic screening and diagnosis , including using digital breast tomosynthesis, and the use in deep-learning and artificial intelligence
• Discuss the findings and the optimal screening using full mammography, contrast enhancement along with abbreviated MRI
• Define the stage and the biology of breast cancer, and the effect on outcomes for patients
• Outline the techniques employed to improve breast MRI images as part of your study interpretation
• Enhance image-guided breast biopsy abilities and manage lesions with high risk
Chest Lectures:
• Differentiate between the four cystic lung diseases that are the most commonly seen illnesses.
• Apply the 2017 Fleischner criteria to unknown fibrotic interstitial lung disease cases.
• Describe the reasons for the reverse halo sign with CT and clinical characteristics
• Distinguish between acute and chronic embolus of the lungs, as well as common artifacts
• Identify the most common postoperative complications after aortic repair.
