Description:
In 2020, the failure in the autumn of the pandemic year no longer came as a complete surprise, but it was still painful. When the members enter a conference, there are weeks and months of silent preparation behind the society, the conference president and the organization team, so that the event is a success. All of this invested time and effort was suddenly wiped out last June. When the board and I made the decision to cancel, we were still criticized by many members who firmly believed that the conference would take place. It has never been less nice to be right.
