Hungary Off-Road Adventure Course 2027 is organized by Wild Med Adventures, LLC and will be held from Jun 19 - 26, 2027 in Hungary.

Description:

• Join our 8 night Off-Roading CME course in Hungary with Ride-X-Power
• Intermediate to Expert Riders for Dirt Bikes (or choose a 4-wheeled buggy): Ride tailored to your experience, but you should have experience on motorcycles and/or dirt bikes to make this more enjoyable for the group unless you plan to ride side by side vehicles.
• A perfect enduro and buggy trip that explores Hungary with a customized itinerary for Wild Med Adventures
• The landscape just across the border with Austria is one of the most beautiful areas in Hungary and merges into the world-famous Hungarian Puszta in the south.
• This tour takes us on very beautiful trails through the gently rolling landscape around Lake Balaton. We stay in typical local hotels and guesthouses and pass castles that are well-known beyond the country's borders. A highlight is the ferry ride to the southern shore of Lake Balaton. Our hotel, an old mill converted into a hotel, is amazing and offers typical Hungarian hospitality, cozy rooms, a great restaurant that invites you to sit together under the aisles, a pool and a simple SPA in the large hotel park.
• The daily stages are between 100 and 140 km long. The level of difficulty is tailored to beautiful and relaxed enduro and buggy driving through the hills of the Hungarian Lake Balaton region. The tour is structured so that we don't start too early in the morning and reach midday after about 3 hours and then the hotel in another three hours. We have enough time for lunch and a cozy get-together in the hotel in the evening to enjoy the tour and go over our CME lectures.
• We lead the Enduro tour in different groups depending on driving ability and the buggies drive in a group with a guide to meet up for lunch and the hotel in the evenings. 

ATTENDING THIS COURSE YOU WILL:

• Learn the latest wilderness medical skills for patient assessment, stabilization and evacuation.
• Practice your skills while enjoying a true wilderness adventure in the backcountry
• Work with our expert faculty and local Dirt Biking / Off Road guides with over 20 years experience to develop your knowledge and awareness regarding dirt biking and motorcycle injuries
• Obtain up to 14 hours of CME and Fellowship credits from the Wilderness Medical Society towards your FAWM
• Our program focuses on treatment of the most common injuries and illnesses encountered while in the backcountry.

CERTIFICATION:

• 14 AMA PRA Category 1 CME (TM) Credits and WMS FAWM Credits
• Motorcycle License NOT required, but riding experience is MANDATORY for dirt biking option

MAIN EDUCATIONAL OBJECTIVES:

• The goal of the Wilderness Medical Society Dirt Biking CME Conference is to provide participants with a unique environment to experience essential medically-related topics and learn skills while collaborating with Coyote Trails through educational activities including lectures, hands on work-shops, training modules and Biking Excursions.
• Development of this CME curriculum is formed by the following key objectives:
  • Provide educational opportunities based on core curriculum of the Academy of Wilderness Medicine.
  • Provide education of value to providers who care for the medical needs and also those involved with coordination of off roading-related educational activities, including medical providers who must educate and instruct rider safety with their patients.
  • Provide education of interest to wilderness and austere-activity enthusiasts.
• After attending this conference, the participants will be able to:
  • Establish a set of treatment priorities for care of the sick or injured in remote settings.
  • Prevent, diagnose, and manage illnesses and injuries in austere environments.
  • Demonstrate increased knowledge and skill in recognizing and treating the most common illnesses and injuries encountered in remote environments, including medical kits, patient assessment, hemorrhage control, and orthopedic injuries.
  • Understand objective risk-assessment in wilderness environments from the perspective of the medical professional acting as a trip leader.
  • Understand the pathophysiology and management of acute emergencies related to remote environments and potential high velocity vehicular injuries.
  • Perform a pre-departure assessment of the participant’s pre-existing medical conditions and plan an appropriate medical kit & care.
