Tips & Tricks for Gastrointestinal and Biliopancreatic Stenting Advanced Course is organized by Research Institute Against Digestive Cancer / Institut de Recherche contre les Cancers de l'Appareil Digestif (IRCAD) and will be held from Nov 09 - 10, 2026 at IRCAD France, Strasbourg, Grand Est, France.
Description:
The use of stents in the management of gastrointestinal (GI) diseases has evolved significantly over the past three decades, transforming therapeutic strategies from malignant obstructions to benign strictures and post-surgical complications across a wide spectrum of conditions.
Despite their growing clinical relevance, the application of GI stents remains a complex and rapidly advancing field, often underrepresented in formal medical education.
As GI stenting continues to expand its therapeutic footprint, providing healthcare professionals with the necessary skills and knowledge is not only timely but essential.
This course aims to address the urgent need for structured multidisciplinary training focused on indications, techniques, and outcomes associated with GI stenting.
By integrating insights from gastroenterology, interventional radiology, and surgical practice, the program will provide participants with a comprehensive understanding of stent selection, deployment methods, complication management, and emerging technologies such as biodegradable and multi-hole stents.
Through case-based learning, hands-on simulation, and expert-led discussions, the course will empower clinicians to make evidence-based decisions and improve patient outcomes.
