OVERVIEW

Memorial’s Best of American Society of Clinical Oncology (ASCO) Miami Symposium is organized by Florida Society of Clinical Oncology (FLASCO) and will be held from Jul 31 - Aug 01, 2026 at JW Marriott Marquis Miami, Miami, Florida, United States of America.

Description:
The Best of ASCO® 2026 Miami Symposium is a summarized version of the ASCO Annual Conference made available locally to simulate attendance for those who may not have the resources or time to attend the national conference. MCI obtained in 2014 the first official license to conduct Best of ASCO®, giving oncologists the opportunity to increase their knowledge about cancer, improve their competence, and enhance practice performance and patient care. Best of ASCO® will provide an evidence-based, state-of-the-art educational activity that will assist clinicians in making up-to-date, appropriate treatment decisions. One of the most important goals is to help the physicians to incorporate in their daily practices the latest and best of oncology care as presented and discussed every year in ASCO, the most important cancer meeting in the world with more than 37,000 people attending every year.

Objectives
At the conclusion of this activity, learners will be able to:

  • Summarize key clinical findings from studies presented at the ASCO Annual Meeting 2026 selected by the American Society of Clinical Oncology that are relevant to hematologic and oncologic practice.
  • Integrate new clinical evidence and updated standards of care into treatment decision-making for patients treated in community oncology settings.
  • Interpret clinical trial outcomes—including overall survival (OS), progression-free survival (PFS), recurrence rates, and toxicity profiles—to guide evidence-based discussions with patients regarding emerging and recently approved oncology therapies.
  • Describe mechanisms of action, administration considerations, toxicity profiles, and supportive care strategies associated with targeted therapies and immunotherapies used in oncology treatment.
  • Apply current labeling information and toxicity management strategies when administering newly approved targeted therapies and immunotherapies in oncology practice.
  • Implement evidence-based best practices and guideline-directed care for standard-of-care oncology treatments across disease-specific and modality-based clinical scenarios.
