FLASCO is a member supported state society that focuses on providing education, timely dissemination of pertinent information and general support of the Florida professionals who have chosen the challenging medical discipline of oncology.

Their general membership consists of over 2,850 medical, radiation, surgical, gynecologic, pediatric oncologists, oncology pharmacists and oncologists in training, along with their support teams which include physician assistants, nurse practitioners, nurses, office managers and other supporting staff that are currently serving in the oncology field. The remainder of their members consist of dedicated individuals who are employed by pharmaceutical, insurance or companies affiliated with the corporate world who ardently support the mission of FLASCO.

They serve all areas from medical oncology/hematology to radiation oncology to surgical oncology. Beyond diagnosis and treatment, FLASCO is dedicated to serving the vastly growing need for survivorship care. Through digital and social communication advancements and an ongoing commitment to meaningful and relevant personal interactions, they will develop new forums to share ideas and deliver breakthroughs for their patients.

Mission:
The Florida Society of Clinical Oncology is a statewide non-profit organization committed to facilitating and promoting multidisciplinary efforts to improve patient care in Florida by:
• Fostering access to quality cancer care to the citizens of Florida.
• Assisting the cancer practitioners in providing the most cost effective quality care for their patients.
• Acting as an advocate for Florida cancer patients and their families.
• Coordinating the dissemination of information and providing an opportunity for oncologists, physicians, and other health care professionals to network and exchange information.
