Human Factors is a multi-disciplinary science focused on understanding how people interact with the elements of a system within a given environment. As healthcare delivery becomes increasingly complex, human factors engineering has proven to be a powerful approach for proactively reducing harm.
This workshop is centered on understanding clinical workflows through the lens of human psychology and human limitations. You will walk out with concrete tools to evaluate your current and future workflows and identify opportunities for error. Particular emphasis will be placed on the application of human factors principles to emerging AI-enabled workflows through a series of individual and group activities. The workshop offers 11 CE credits as below.
