OVERVIEW
Advanced Anatomy Lab – Cadaver Lab: Head and Neck: Anatomy, Dissection, Aesthetics is organized by MZ Events Srl and Italian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery (AICPE) will be held from Jun 19 - 20, 2026 at University Hospital Paolo Giaccone, Palermo, Sicily, Italy.
Course Introduction
- AICPE (Italian Association of Aesthetic Plastic Surgery) is pleased to present, within its Educational Project, the first Advanced Anatomy Lab — a high-level training event dedicated to the in-depth study of surgical anatomy of the head and neck region.
- At a time when aesthetic surgery risks becoming superficial, AICPE chooses to return to depth, respect for the body, anatomical knowledge, and precision in surgical technique.
- This advanced laboratory, part of the AICPE Educational Project, is exclusively intended for specialists and residents in Plastic, Reconstructive, and Aesthetic Surgery.
- Each annual edition will focus on a key anatomical district (Face, Body, or Breast), integrating high-level theoretical lectures with practical cadaver dissection sessions guided by expert tutors.
- Only through understanding deep anatomical planes is it possible to design Beauty in an authentic, safe, and responsible way.
- The project will be itinerant, reaching various Italian cities — from Palermo to Rome, from Milan to Naples — while remaining faithful to a clear vision: to train surgeons who understand, respect, and honor anatomy as the first ethical act of their profession.
- The initiative begins at a center of academic excellence: the Chair of Human Anatomy at the University of Palermo, within the University Hospital P. Giaccone. A unique opportunity to learn, practice, and refine surgical skills in a structured, highly specialized, and scientifically validated environment.
- Cadaver dissection represents an irreplaceable tool for every plastic surgeon, whether in training or already experienced. For younger surgeons, it is crucial for mastering anatomical planes; for established professionals, it offers the opportunity to review and refine techniques through real anatomical practice.
- Understanding and respecting anatomy in its finest details ensures safety, precision, and stable aesthetic results, where millimetric differences can determine profoundly different functional and aesthetic outcomes.
- To ensure a complete learning experience, a multimedia classroom will broadcast live dissection phases with real-time explanations by tutors, allowing even non-dissecting participants to follow clearly and interactively.
- This event marks a historic milestone for AICPE as the first official Advanced Cadaver Lab and establishes a new educational standard for Italian aesthetic surgery.
