The complexity of female physiology and physiopathology, as well as the evolution of society, the forceful entry of social media and the demands of LGBTQIA+ communities have profoundly changed the context in which we are called to operate, increasingly requiring interdisciplinary contributions.

The synergic collaboration between AIGE and FISS allows to explore the intersections between gynecological endocrinology and sexology. This synergy facilitates a holistic vision of the issues treated, promoting more complete and innovative solutions. Furthermore, the diversity of the experts present allows to address complex issues from different perspectives, enriching the scientific debate.

The need for safe and healthy contraception as well as effective treatments for infertility and sterility and the social value of the new battles against endometriosis, adenomyosis and organic pathologies of women have made a common path between gynecologists and sexologists indispensable to face the new demands for the protection of health and sexuality.

A sexual health not only of the person but also of the couple that contributes to form with his being cisgender or transgender. To this have also been added the new medical and sexological acquisitions on the transition periods of adolescence and menopause, and on what are the current possibilities to face the multiple and different needs for care and prevention that represent requests of ever greater medical and social importance.

The AIGE FISS National Congress will represent a new platform with unique and innovative characteristics for all the subjects involved, a turning point in the Italian panorama for those who contribute to the constant improvement of the health of Italian women and couples in the complex path to reproductive and sexual well-being.
