All accepted abstracts will be published in our journal, Pulmonary Circulation, and may appear on our website. There is no fee for abstract submission, but the submitting author must have an active PVRI membership to submit. The best abstracts in the following areas will be selected for oral presentations in our main programme, so please indicate if your submission is relevant to one of these areas when you submit:
- Establishing the framework for the classification & diagnosis of PH worldwide
- Risk stratification & treatment in the new era of PH therapeutics
- Vascular heterogeneity in chronic lung disease Heterogeneity in PH associated with heart disease
- The individual exposome & it’s contribution to PH heterogeneity
- Quantifying therapeutic responses
- Leveraging disease heterogeneity in clinical trial design
- None of the above

The Congress will include a welcome drinks reception, poster presentations and the opportunity to attend the following functions. All functions are free to attend, apart from the Gala Dinner, which is $60 per person. Please book onto the functions when you register for Congress.
- Women in PH Luncheon: Following our successful Luncheon in PVRI 2024 London, we are delighted to bring to you the Women in PH Luncheon at PVRI 2025 Rio. “Women in PH” began as a way to support educational opportunities for women in PH and strengthen their professional network, aimed at building an inclusive, diverse community. - Hot topics from PVRI GoDeep, led by Werner Seeger: The session will include an overview of the GoDeep meta-registry, risk scores beyond group 1 PH – baseline and follow-up, PAH-targeted therapies non-PAH PH, the impact of gender and ethnicity on survival with PH, and positive therapy response as predictor for survival: hemodynamic response versus risk score improvement versus multicomponent clinical improvement.
