Course Overview:
Drug-coated balloons (DCB) in coronary angioplasty have an established role for in-stent restenosis and are receiving increasing attention in de-novo lesions. This one-day course is aimed at consultant cardiologists and senior trainees who wish to develop and expand their DCB usage. The faculty will be enhanced by the presence of international experts in this field promoting DCB use with interactive talks aided by case-based discussions.
The course aims are as follows:
1. To provide a concise overview of DCB technology and their impact on coronary vascular biology.
2. To define indications for DCB use with appraisal of established data and highlighting upcoming studies.
3. To offer insights in how to perform successful DCB angioplasty in various scenarios.
In 2024, the event received 6 CPD credits. The same number of CPD credits will be applied for in 2025 through the Federation of the Royal Colleges of Physicians of the UK.
