OVERVIEW

AI in Radiology: Interactive Hands-on Technical Course is organized by The Royal College of Radiologists (RCR) and will be held on Oct 25, 2025 at King's College London, London, England, United Kingdom.

Description:
Join for The new one-day, in-person hands-on workshop, developed by the Royal College of Radiologists Clinical Radiology AI Faculty in partnership with King’s College London. Tailored for healthcare and biomedical professionals, our workshop explores the practical application of artificial intelligence in medical imaging.

You'll demystify coding in practice and discover how AI can enhance radiological practice, gaining the skills to build, train and evaluate AI models. With expert guidance from data scientists and faculty members, you’ll take part in real-time exercises covering detection, segmentation, classification and performance evaluation using real-world imaging datasets.

Throughout the day, you’ll receive personalised support to build simple AI pipelines, train and test models, interpret outputs, and critically assess model performance and bias. Each session is grounded in clinical relevance and guided by the latest advances in AI for imaging.

Learning outcomes:

  • Gain hands-on experience with AI tools used in radiology and medical imaging
  • Learn to become conversant in AI to influence or help build algorithms - apply, design and evaluate pre-trained AI models for detection, segmentation and classification
  • Upskill in coding, demystify what coding involves and gain confidence with AI applications
  • Understand AI model performance in medical imaging
  • Recognise and understand model limitations and biases
