39th Annual Contemporary Issues in Obstetrics and Gynecology is organized by The University of Tennessee Health Science Center (UTHSC) and will be held from Jul 21 - 25, 2025 at Hilton Sandestin Beach Golf Resort & Spa, Miramar Beach, Florida, United States of America.
Description:
The 39th Annual Conference on Contemporary Issues in Obstetrics and Gynecology will provide evidence-based updates on a wide range of topics in obstetrics and gynecology, while highlighting our commitment to improving the health of our patients and the dissemination of medical knowledge to healthcare professionals. Conference faculty consists of UTHSC faculty and guest speakers. Content is chosen based on surveys from our previous meetings and literature updates on current and emerging topics. Topics will be presented to address individual knowledge gaps and will include skills and methodologies within the practice environment. A panel discussion at the end of each session will allow interaction between faculty and participants.
Educational Objectives:
- Describe new therapeutic options in urogynecology
- Explain the utility of complex contraceptive counseling
- Review current management of substance abuse during pregnancy
- Recognize common gestational dermatologic changes and treatment
Desired Outcome:
This conference is designed to provide interactive educational activities that discuss complicated case scenarios that have been shown to improve participant application of evidence-based medicine for obstetric and gynecologic patients. Providing a format for adult learning that includes lectures, case-based studies, interactive question-and-answer, collaborative sharing of patient care issues, and networking with other healthcare professionals has been shown to improve participant knowledge and competency.
