2025 Epilepsy Update Conference is organized by Cedars-Sinai Medical Center and will be held on Nov 09, 2025 at Disneyland Hotel, Anaheim, California, United States of America.

Description:
This education activity brings together physicians and medical providers to educate providers about epilepsy, including the diagnosis and treatment of seizures, managing co-morbidities of patients with seizure disorders, and updates on the newest research in the field of epilepsy.

Objectives:

  • Differentiate epileptic from nonepileptic events in children and adults.
  • Summarize indications, uses, and common side effects of new antiseizure medications.
  • Apply evidence based strategies for seizure management in emergency settings.
  • Identify essential components and appropriate candidates for seizure action plans.
  • Recommend sleep habits and medical treatments to improve sleep in people with epilepsy.
  • Demonstrate correct EEG electrode placement and recognize normal and abnormal brain wave patterns
  • Evaluate devices available for seizure monitoring and detection.
  • Compare current treatment options for ADDADHD in people with epilepsy and explain the importance of diagnosis and management.
  • Interpret current guidelines for genetic testing in epilepsy and assess treatment options for genetic epilepsies.
  • Collaborate effectively within interprofessional teams to develop and implement comprehensive epilepsy care plans.
