Thanks to new platforms, robotic surgery is increasingly part of gynaecology. The specialty’s path leads from the old surgical practice to favouring minimally invasive surgery. And so, the 2025 SERGS conference programme plans to address in detail the use of robotic platforms in gynaecological surgery.

All benign and oncological pathologies that benefit from the application of robotic surgery will be treated and discussed. We will facilitate comparison between the various platforms, and the controversies and advantages in the application of robotic minimally invasive surgery will be well addressed. To understand the true innovative power of robotic surgery, we must not only look at it as the single application of technology to surgery. This is why the potential of integration with other technologies such as diagnostic imaging, hysteroscopy, and artificial intelligence will also be discussed in our sessions.

In order to establish a bridge between these disciplines and techniques that are useful for the development of minimally invasive surgery, the conference will make space for meetings with the major experts in the sector, during round tables and robotics talks—all in the search of better development of the practice and our treatment of patients. A large space in the programme will be given to live surgery sessions at which benign and oncological gynaecological interventions will be shown, comparing the existing robotic platforms on the market.

Training sessions with simulation and a certification programme aimed at gynaecology fellows, students, residents, nurses, and specialists in various pelvic and abdominal surgery-related disciplines will be available. Furthermore, we will offer specific pre-conference courses on topics related to robotic surgery in benign and malignant pathologies and imaging.

And, following in the tradition of previous years, the next SERGS Conference will of course be an opportunity to meet with and talk to the best robotic surgeon gynaecologists in the world to exchange your experiences.

Each year, our city of the Leaning Tower schedules a robotics festival. Tuscany, our region, boasts one of the highest concentrations in the world of workers and activities for the research, development, and application of robotic systems in increasingly broader sectors.
