Minimally Invasive Surgery Week (MISWeek) 2024 is organized by Society of Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgeons (SLS) and will be held from Sep 25 - 28, 2024 at Wyndham Lake Buena Vista Disney Springs Resort Area, Orlando, Florida, United States of America.

Description:
MISWeek 2024, SLS’s annual meeting, is a multidisciplinary meeting with content covering a range of specialties including general surgery, gynecology, endourology, pediatric surgery, surgical oncology, colorectal surgery, bariatric surgery and robotics. Its target audience consists of general surgeons, gynecologists, urologists, pediatric, thoracic surgeons and others interested in laparoscopic, endoscopic, robotic, and minimally invasive surgical techniques and technologies. The meeting is open to surgeons, clinicians, allied health professionals, students, residents, fellows, and others.

Objectives: 
The increasing complexity of minimally invasive diagnostics and therapy requires a continuous educational process. The exchange of knowledge and expertise among the physicians taking part in this conference contributes to the continuation of excellence in minimally invasive surgery.

Upon completion of the conference, participants will be able to:

  • Increase comprehension of the basic and fundamental principles of laparoscopic, endoscopic, and minimally invasive techniques, enhancing the participant’s understanding of these techniques;
  • Understand the recent advances in laparoscopic, robotic, and minimally invasive techniques;
  • Determine the appropriate use of laparoscopic, robotic, and minimally invasive equipment as part of a treatment plan in the care of patients;
  • Comprehend the developing technologies that will be available in the future to enhance the standard of patient care; and
  • Apply acquire educational information within the physician’s specialty, which will enhance their professional development and patient care.

The Society of Laparoscopic & Robotic Surgeons (SLS) is accredited by the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) to provide continuing medical education for physicians.

Designation:
The SLS designates this live activity for AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s)™. Physicians should claim only the credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

The American Board of Surgery Continuous Certification:
Successful completion of this CME activity, which includes participation in the evaluation component, enables the learner to earn credit toward the CME and Self-Assessment requirements of the American Board of Surgery’s Continuous Certification program. It is the CME activity provider’s responsibility to submit learner completion information to ACCME for the purpose of granting ABS credit.

Learner participation will be shared through the ACCME’s Program and Activity Reporting System (PARS).
