IPSIS Lumbar Bio-Skills Lab is organized by Interventional Pain and Spine Intervention Society (IPSIS) and will be held from Sep 14 - 15, 2024 at The Westin Copley Place, Boston, Massachusetts, United States of America.

Curriculum:
During Lab Rotations, Expert Instructors Will Provide You With Hands-on Experience in Groups of 6 Attendees on:

• Needlecraft
• Lumbar Injection TechniquesInterlaminar Epidural
• L1-5 Transforaminal Epidural (Subpedicular)
• Medial Branch Block
• S1 Transforaminal Epidurals
• Sacroiliac Joint

Explore Aspects of Proper C-arm Utilization, Including:

• Fluoroscopic Anatomy in True Anteroposterior, Lateral, and Oblique Positions
• Fluoroscopic Positioning for Cervical Procedures
• Parallax Error
• Radiation Safety

Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
• Analyze the imaging depiction of the relevant anatomy;
• Relate patient history and physical exam findings with imaging to achieve a likely diagnosis of the spinal pathology causing the patient’s pain or dysfunction;
• Describe the literature support for the efficacy of the procedures;
Identify the risks and benefits of each procedure, as well as assessment, prevention, and treatment of potential complications;
• Apply technically correct performance of the spinal procedures using safe fluoroscopic guidance with minimal tissue injury or discomfort.
