IPSIS Comprehensive Bio-Skills Lab: Individualized Instruction is organized by Interventional Pain and Spine Intervention Society (IPSIS) and will be held from Aug 10 - 11, 2024 at Science Care, Aurora, Colorado, United States of America.

Description:
On one weekend each year, IPSIS members have the opportunity to hone in on their specific procedural challenges in a lab-only course.

This year, in Aurora, Colorado, you can receive guided, hands-on, individualized instruction on any procedure included in the IPSIS Practice Guidelines (except Neurostimulation).

During Lab Rotations, Expert Instructors will Provide you with Hands-on Experience in Groups of 6 Attendes on:

• Cervical, Thoracic, and Lumbar: Transforaminal Injections
• Intra-articular Zygapophysial Joint Injections
• Interlaminar Epidural Injections
• Medial Branch Blocks
• Disc Access
• Radiofrequency Neurotomy
• C1-C2 Atlanto-Axial Joint Injection
• Sacroiliac Joint Injection

Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
• Analyze the imaging depiction of the relevant anatomy;
• Relate patient history and physical exam findings with imaging to achieve a likely diagnosis of the spinal pathology causing the patient’s pain or dysfunction;
• Describe the literature support for the efficacy of the procedures;
• Identify the risks and benefits of each procedure, as well as assessment, prevention, and treatment of potential complications;
• Apply technically correct performance of the spinal procedures using safe fluoroscopic guidance with minimal tissue injury or discomfort.
