Description:
The  DATC (Definitive Anesthesia Trauma Care)  is a mixed course, online and face-to-face, aimed at last-year anesthesiologists and Anesthesiology residents interested in the care of multiple trauma patients.

The course has been designed with the objective that students, once they have studied the theoretical contents ONLINE, complete the learning during the face-to-face phase, which lasts 2 and a half days, based on theoretical talks, practices in experimental animals and in simulators, as well as multidisciplinary interactive discussions of clinical cases. It is intended to provide students with a comprehensive and advanced vision of anesthetic care, and in a Resuscitation Unit, of this complex type of patients in their "second hour", continuation of the ATLS concept on assessment and stabilization during the "first hour ”.

This course is developed simultaneously and in parallel with the DSTC (Definitive Surgery for Trauma Care)  designed for general surgeons. Many of the theoretical sessions, case discussions, and practices are shared, emphasizing the need for a multidisciplinary vision in the hospital management of these clinical situations.
