Radiofrequency Bio-Skills Lab is organized by the Spine Intervention Society (SIS) and will be held from Apr 15 - 16, 2023 at Science Care Arizona Lab, Phoenix, Arizona, United States of America.
Description:
Make Cervical and Lumbar Rf Neurotomy Part of Your Skill Set:
In one weekend you'll identify symptomologies, assess imaging, and get hands-on lab time practicing evidence-based radiofrequency neurotomy techniques for the lumbar and cervical regions on cadavers. Your hands-on lab learning will be exclusively on Saturday and Sunday, so you won’t have to sacrifice a single valuable weekday away from your patients.
Educational Objectives
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
• Identify the relevant anatomy based on the imaging depiction.
• Incorporate the patient's medical history and physical examination findings into a diagnosis of spine pathology that is causing the patient's discomfort;
• Describe the research evidence to prove the effectiveness of the methods;
• Determine the potential risks and benefits of each method and also evaluate prevention and treatment of any potential complications;
• Perform technically correct application of the spinal procedures by using secure fluoroscopic guidance that is safe and without discomfort or tissue damage.
