Lumbosacral Radiofrequency Bio-Skills Lab is organized by Spine Intervention Society (SIS) and will be held from Jul 29 - 30, 2023 at Venel Institute Inc, Bethlehem, Pennsylvania, United States of America.
Description:
In this Bio-Skills Lab, you will identify symptomologies, assess imaging, and get hands-on lab time practicing evidence-based lumbar medial branch and sacral lateral branch radiofrequency neurotomy techniques on cadavers.
When you register for the SIS Lumbosacral Radiofrequency Bio-Skills Lab you will receive exclusive online access to SIS’s lecture modules related to this course. An integral part of the program, they must be successfully completed prior to attempting the hands-on portions of the lab—enhancing the rigor of your learning experience.
Educational Objectives:
Upon completion of this course, participants should be able to:
• Analyze the imaging depiction of the relevant anatomy;
• Relate patient history and physical exam findings with imaging to achieve a likely diagnosis of the spinal pathology causing the patient’s pain or dysfunction;
• Describe the literature support for the efficacy of the procedures;
• Identify the risks and benefits of each procedure, as well as assessment, prevention, and treatment of potential complications;
• Apply technically correct performance of the spinal procedures using safe fluoroscopic guidance with minimal tissue injury or discomfort.
