OVERVIEW

The Hospitalist and Emergency Procedures Course is organized by Hospital Procedures Consultants (HPC) and will be held on Jul 08, 2023, at The Westin Denver Downtown, Denver, Colorado, United States of America.

Description:
All students will gain online access to our 19 didactic modules that include all of the lectures and procedural videos for our Hospitalist and Emergency Procedures course. These modules should all be completed prior to your scheduled hands-on skills lab session. As such, you will be able to complete all of the didactic preparation for our course anywhere and anytime and you will be able to review all of the lectures and full-length procedural videos as many times as you would like for a whole year!

After completion of the didactic modules, you will join us for a full 10-hour day of simulation-based training in ALL of these hospital procedures. This procedural training day is 100% hands-on skills lab training with SIX INSTRUCTORS (a 6:1 student/faculty ratio)! You will receive customized, hands-on training in landmark-guided and ultrasound-guided central line placement, ultrasound-guided peripheral IV placement, intraosseous line placement, arterial line placement, vascular ultrasound, chest ultrasound, spine ultrasound, limited Echocardiography, E-FAST exams, RUSH exams, landmark-guided and ultrasound-guided thoracentesis, paracentesis, and lumbar puncture, needle decompression, chest tube placement, pigtail catheter placement, basic suturing, endotracheal intubation, King tube airway placement, laryngeal mask airway placement, stylet-guided intubations, Glidescope intubation, and other options for difficult airway management. Bedside ultrasound training will be conducted on paid ultrasound models.

Learning Objectives:
After participating in this educational activity, the participant will be better able to:
• Define indications and contraindications for each procedure
• Identify pertinent anatomy and proper positioning for each procedure
• Demonstrate proper technique for each procedure
• List common complications of each procedure
• Utilize appropriate management strategies for procedural complications
• Identify risk factors for complications from each procedure

    CANCELLATION & REFUND POLICY

    Cancellations 30 days or more prior to a course

    Customers are entitled to a refund of the registration amount minus a $100 processing fee or 100% credit towards a future course.

    Cancellations 15-29 days prior to a course

    Customers are entitled to a 50% refund of the registration amount minus a $100 processing fee or a 75% credit towards a future course.

    Cancellations 8-14 days prior to a course

    Customers are entitled to a 25% refund of the registration amount minus a $100 processing fee or a 50% credit towards a future course.

    Cancellations less than 7 days prior to a course

    No refunds or credits will be given, including for “no shows” or for natural disasters or for travel-related or weather-related issues which are out of our control.

    In the event of an emergency involving hospitalization of student or death of an immediate family member (spouse or children only – accompanied by supporting documentation)

    HPC will offer 100% credit towards a future course (minus a $100 processing fee) in the event of an emergency which includes the hospitalization of a student or death/hospitalization of an immediate family member (spouse or children only) during the week prior to a course. Any other illness or injury will be treated according to our standard cancellation policies. HPC does not provide credit or refunds because of natural disasters, weather-related problems or travel-related delays that are out of our control. To obtain future course credit, please email our company supporting documentation of the above-mentioned emergencies.

    Cancellations must be made by email

    Cancellation can be initiated via email, and the categorization of the cancellation is determined by the date the notice is received by the HPC staff.

    Cancellation of Courses

    If HPC cancels a course, a full refund of the registration amount will be issued. Hospital Procedures Consultants is NOT responsible for any registrant travel or accommodation expenses.

    Sold out courses

    Hospital Procedures Consultants maintains a maximum capacity for our courses so that each participant has ample time for hands-on training. If courses are sold out, please notify our staff if you would like to be on the waiting list should a cancellation occur.
