OVERVIEW

The Hospitalist and Emergency Procedures Course is organized by Hospital Procedures Consultants (HPC) and will be held on Apr 30, 2023, at Swissotel Chicago, Chicago, Illinois, United States of America.

Description:
All students will gain online access to our 19 didactic modules that include all of the lectures and procedural videos for our Hospitalist and Emergency Procedures course. These modules should all be completed prior to your scheduled hands-on skills lab session. As such, you will be able to complete all of the didactic preparation for our course anywhere and anytime and you will be able to review all of the lectures and full-length procedural videos as many times as you would like for a whole year!

After completion of the didactic modules, you will join us for a full 10-hour day of simulation-based training in ALL of these hospital procedures. This procedural training day is 100% hands-on skills lab training with SIX INSTRUCTORS (a 6:1 student/faculty ratio)! You will receive customized, hands-on training in landmark-guided and ultrasound-guided central line placement, ultrasound-guided peripheral IV placement, intraosseous line placement, arterial line placement, vascular ultrasound, chest ultrasound, spine ultrasound, limited Echocardiography, E-FAST exams, RUSH exams, landmark-guided and ultrasound-guided thoracentesis, paracentesis, and lumbar puncture, needle decompression, chest tube placement, pigtail catheter placement, basic suturing, endotracheal intubation, King tube airway placement, laryngeal mask airway placement, stylet-guided intubations, Glidescope intubation, and other options for difficult airway management. Bedside ultrasound training will be conducted on paid ultrasound models.
