Kick off your conference with fellow delegates and faculty on the evening of 30th October at a welcome reception & keynote address by the Chief Medical Officer (CMO), England Cricket Board (ECB) Prof Nick Pierce at the Lord’s Tavern, Lord’s Cricket Ground at 18.30, co-hosted by the Hybrid Imaging &Therapy Unit, Wellington Hospital, HCA, London and Siemens Healthcare UK.

The one-day meeting opens with a cutting-edge session on Artificial Intelligence (AI) in nuclear medicine to discuss opportunities and challenges with experts in the field. The remaining programme features two parallel streams to cater to all craft groups.

The conference draws on the philosophy of the global Choosing Wisely initiative exploring themes of collaborative clinical decision making and a nuanced approach to door-to door imaging from image optimisation to dose conservation. Faculty is drawn from opinion leaders in clinical and nuclear medicine world with an engaging panel discussion and Q&A format. Amongst themes explored are – grey areas in response assessment in NET and prostate cancer, Clinician’s view on imaging the professional elite athlete, re-visiting DAT quantification and concept of normality, a Physiologist’s perspective on the lost arts in nuclear medicine, a Clinician’s perspective on dementia imaging and the Alzheimer’s story. The BNMS tracer commissioning manifesto paper will be released on the day with a closing panel discussion on Radiopharmaceuticals in UK, discussing opportunities & challenges.

Objectives:
• Introduction to potential of AI( artificial intelligence) in nuclear medicine
• Basic Refresher on image optimisation in PET SPECT & CT for Technical / Scientific delegates
• Exploring uncertainties in PET response assessment in the management of prostate cancer & neuroendocrine tumours (NET)
• Generic appreciation of treating clinicians perspective in selected themes of relevance to nuclear medicine.
• Basic update of radio-pharmaceuticals & challenges in provision in U.K.
