AACE Communities Middle East North Africa 2023 is organized by DiaEdu Management Consultancy, American Association of Clinical Endocrinology (AACE) and will be held from Nov 17 - 19, 2023 at Grand Hyatt Dubai, Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

Overview:
The conference will expand AACE’s educational offerings to the Middle East & North Africa, providing the possibility to learn about the latest advancements in the management of endocrine disease, breakthroughs in scientific research, new technologies for improving patient care, and much more. We welcome AACE community members in the MENA to network and interact with our AACE expert panel during the conference.

Expected Educational Outcomes:

• Evaluate the benefits of GLP-1 agonists and SGLT2-inhibitors beyond glucose management, and review tools to individualize type 2 diabetes management.
• Show an understanding of evaluation and management of endocrine diseases during pregnancy and appreciate potential maternal and fetal outcomes of endocrine therapies.
• Review the optimal clinical environment for screening and confirming the presence of endocrine hypertension, including primary aldosteronism, and understand the pitfalls in localizing an aldosterone-producing-adenoma.
• Appraise the current literature on pharmacologic treatment of obesity and NAFLD in children and adults with and without prevalent diabetes.
• Demonstrate appreciation of the controversies around the role of vitamin D supplementation in the musculoskeletal system; review recent guidance on treatment of hypercalcemia of malignancy.
