2nd Annual Charleston Head & Neck Oncology Symposium is organized by HCA Healthcare and will be held from Nov 10 - 11, 2023 at Wild Dunes Resort, Isle Of Palms, South Carolina, United States of America.
Description:
While head and neck cancer accounts for only 4% of all cancers in the United States, the extensive treatment modalities, severe impact on daily living, and high recurrence rate make head and neck cancer one of the most complex oncologic subspecialties to develop within the hospital (American Cancer Society). Clinicians need up to date knowledge of care management for patients with head and neck cancer.
In this two-day Symposium, we will educate on updates in surgical advances, chemotherapy and immunotherapy developments, clinical trials, radiation therapy, and technology evolution for reconstruction.
In addition to covering clinical advancements, we will educate on the multidisciplinary team that is vital to the treatment of head and neck cancer patients. The responsibilities of surgeons, radiation oncologists, medical oncologists, pathologists, social workers, nurse navigators, speech and language pathologists, and maxillofacial prosthodontics will be covered at length with panels teaching how to create highly-effective and collaborative multidisciplinary teams.
