Program Purpose:
I chose a series of topics that are prevalent in Emergency Medicine. I will explain the methods to diagnose and control them appropriately. I will illuminate when to work up and when to refer to the specialist. This would allow the practitioner to employ the resources of the hospital or clinic wisely. The Physician or the Advance Practice Provider that attends the course will be able to navigate these conditions with expertise and will facilitate a smooth transition of care.
Understanding that not all attendees will be Emergency Physicians, the topics exhibited are general in nature, for clear understanding, but with critical complications if left untreated or if they go unrecognized by the practitioner. This information will be applicable to all participants.
