Robotic surgery is well integrated in Denmark as well as the Nordic countries. Although robotic surgery was introduced first in onco-gynecology, new frontiers have been found and especially in the field of benign surgery and in women with endometriosis, robotic surgery has demonstrated its superiority for advanced surgery.

In the field of advanced surgery new technologies are needed and the Nordic countries are adopting very fast the latest IT solutions including new options for imaging and combined technologies.
