Description:
SCOPE is an educational initiative designed to provide the primary care team with the necessary knowledge and skills to care for common endocrine disorders in the areas of bone, obesity, lipids, diabetes, and thyroid in the primary care setting and to co-manage endocrine conditions with endocrinology colleagues.
SCOPE will include regional workshops offered in Philadelphia and Tampa, as well as an online curriculum of content to address the needs of:
• Primary care physicians
• Nurse practitioners and physician assistants
• Nurses
Agenda:
7:30–8:00am: Registration and Breakfast
8:00–8:10am: Welcome and Introductions
8:10–8:45am: What challenges do you have managing patients with endocrine conditions?
• Attendees will visit stations throughout the room to leave notes about what they want to learn today
• Throughout the day, at the start of each new topic, the faculty will discuss the themes that emerged
• A focus on the BOLD-T (Bone, Obesity, Lipids, Diabetes, and Thyroids). We’ll review the latest about diagnosis, management, and what’s on the horizon to improve patient care.

10:45–11:45am: Focus on BONE and THYROID
11:45am–12:15pm: Lunch
12:15–1:30pm: Focus on LIPIDS
1:30–2:45pm: Focus on OBESITY

3:00–3:30pm: Summary and Q&A
