39th Annual The European Society of Regional Anaesthesia & Pain Therapy (ESRA) Congress is organized by Kenes Group. The symposium is held from Sep 16 - 19, 2020 at Thessaloniki Concert Hall, Thessaloniki, Central Macedonia, Greece.

The ESRA annual congress encourages growth in the area of regional anesthesia and pain therapy by developing new collaborations and distinct educational opportunities. The program is the ultimate platform for uniting with the anaesthesiologists and pain therapists from across the world. So if you haven't marked your calendar for this important congress, we reassure you to do so.

As in earlier years, the focus of the scientific meeting is on state-of-the-art presentations in our field as well as prevailing insights on the basic science, clinical research, and therapeutic interventions. The program mainly focuses on rendering communication between speakers and the audience. The scientific pattern at the annual ESRA congress is now perceived as one of the best in the world and as a result, carries a high rating with the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education.

The Scientific Committee has created a program installed with topics including all the fields of interest in the employment of regional anesthesia/analgesia alone or in multimodal approaches. Acute and chronic pain management topics of special interest for anaesthesiologists will also be incorporated.

The type of sessions will be refresher course lectures, networking sessions, pro/con debates, panel discussions, luncheon sessions, special workshops including cadaver workshops, and of course free paper and E-Posters. Residents are encouraged to submit their papers for incorporation in the ESRA Resident Best Free Paper and the ESRA Best Abstract Award competitions.

ESRA 2020 will also provide us the time and possibilities for networking. While enjoying our outstanding scientific program, ESRA’s Annual Congress is the place to network with your peers, meet old friends and make new ones. This year’s session features several networking opportunities and occasions.

During the Thessaloniki Congress, you will have the opportunity to enroll for the first part (written exam) of the Certified EDRA (European Diploma in Regional Anaesthesia & Acute Pain Management) and EDPM (European Diploma of Pain Medicine). For those participants who have already successfully completed the first part of these diplomas, there will be the opportunity to take the second part (practical).
