6th Annual Duke Retina Fellows Advanced Vitreous Surgery (fAVS) Course is organized by Medical Conference Planners International (MCPI) and will be held from Sep 11 - 12, 2020 at Duke Eye Cente, Durham, North Carolina, United States of America.

Course Description:
The fAVS meeting is an annual educational event for all North American and International rising 2nd year Surgical, The fAVS meeting is an annual educational event for all North American and International rising 2nd year Surgical, Medical Retina and Uveitis fellows. Extensive educational content includes medical and surgical panel discussions, surgical videos tricks and tips, and the unparalleled wet lab experience with access to some of the latest technology and cutting-edge procedures with one on one faculty/fellow interaction.

This course is geared to first-year medical and surgical retina fellows, uveitis fellows and a limited number of international fellows involved in the treatment of diseases of the vitreomacular interface and is designed to complement the fellowship curriculum.

The program, derived from the broader Duke Advanced Vitreous Surgery (AVS) Course, is designed to deliver informative, cutting edge talks, superior video, and a spirit of collegiality to engage faculty and fellows with each other as well as industry representatives and senior colleagues in the field of retina who will be working with attendees one-on-one in a four-hour wet lab. Attendees will have a unique opportunity to directly compare sustained release technology, retinal prosthesis, intraoperative OCT machines, microscopes, 3D visualization systems, vitrectomy machines, forceps, laser probes, subretinal delivery devices and a range of other tools across manufacturers.

Free registration, travel stipend, and shared lodging is available to fellows that have not attended fAVS before. Fellows that have previously attended are welcome to attend again for a nominal fee.
