The Duke Center for Surgical Education and Innovation presents the Masters of Minimally Invasive Bariatric Surgery Conference sponsored by the Duke Division of Metabolic and Weight Loss Surgery. Join us for an interactive event where you can discuss the technical aspects of the most challenging procedures, share your most difficult cases, and be part of in-depth discussions with our national and international experts.

Statement of Need:
This course is designed to address the most recent innovations in endoscopic procedures for bariatric surgery, advanced revisional surgery, metabolic surgery, and the management of weight regain after bariatric surgery. Participants will learn more about the integral role of these procedures in the management of bariatric complications. With an interactive format, participants are encouraged to join the conversation about the most technical aspects of challenging procedures with faculty who are experts in their field during the discussions and panel debates.

Learning Objectives:
At the conclusion of this activity, participants should be able to:

• Describe approaches and technical issues in various bariatric surgery procedures
• Describe techniques for revision of gastric bypass, sleeve, and banding procedures
• Discuss options for patients experiencing weight regain after bariatric surgery
• Explain laparoscopic and endoscopic management techniques for correcting complications
• Identify new and advanced concepts used to treat obesity and metabolic disease
